Twenty eighteen

new years resolutions

Another year....another year!?

I remember writing a post last year at this time. When my little blog was a secret to the world and was quietly waiting for its time to shine. And shine it has. My little engine that could. :)

Reflecting on a whole year can be quite difficult. It's hard to remember and sometimes, reflecting is just... intangible. So why not let it remain as such? Change can be subtle. Change is usually a slow process. And change can be just for you. Trying to make it more tangible can often cause it to lose its magic. And what's life without a little bit of magic, right?

For those of you struggling to articulate what the last year was like for you or for those of you feeling inauthentic about the idea of a new year's resolution, I'm here to tell you that you don't have to do any of it. Forget about feeling like you need to have something to show for this year. Because my dear, you have you to show. You are your greatest masterpiece. You have worked so hard. If no one has told you yet, I want to say: I am proud of you.

Sometimes growth is completely internal. It's just for us. It doesn't have to fit or compare to anyone else's growth. It doesn't have to be loud. It can be introspective. And it can be soft. It can be what you want it to be. And to be honest, it can always just be a new day and a new opportunity. And you can leave it at that.

All I ask is that you take a moment. A moment to admire yourself. You are here. And you are wonderful. And no matter what you tell yourself, you did do your best. We all are doing just that - our best. We are human. We don't know the answers. But we are all just doing what we can. So keep doing what you are doing. And remember that you are what matter most.

Wishing you a sweet and blissful 2018. Here's to many more heartful moments together.
