Hello, my name is Dr. Khadijah Haji
I am a naturopathic doctor with a practice in Coquitlam, BC.
Although naturopathic medicine is my passion, there are many other things that make me who I am. I am a dog lover, a wellness advocate and a firm believer in living from the heart. I thrive on hot cups of tea, soulful chats and intuitive writing. Health to me means living your best self and loving yourself simply for being you.
With natural medicine, a little bit of guidance and a whole lot of support - I hope that I can inspire you on your journey to living the life that is meant for you! Why Naturopathic Medicine?
There are so many reasons why I chose Naturopathic Medicine, the best of which is simply that I knew I belonged here. Growing up, my grandmother and mother would always have an interesting "remedy" for any ailment, such as turmeric drinks for colds or fennel for better digestion. As a child, I was quick to turn up my nose at anything that looked remotely healthy, and took any and every opportunity to complain about having fish instead of spaghetti for dinner.
As I got older, I found myself being drawn to the very natural remedies that had already been inherently used by my family for years. When I discovered a medicine that so beautifully integrated science with the innate wisdom of nature, I knew I had found my place. After making changes to my own lifestyle with the help of an ND, I was sold. I moved from Guelph, Ontario where I had completed my undergrad in the Bachelor of Arts and Science program, all the way to New Westminster, BC to attend the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine, and I couldn't be happier with that decision. I graduated as a naturopathic doctor in 2017, and I am currently practicing at Serenity Health in Coquitlam, BC.
Since I was very young, I have always been fascinated by the idea of journaling. Back then however, it was a pink diary with a lock on it and the key always mysteriously went missing. Looking back, I realize that throughout the countless journals I bought (but barely wrote in), my love for writing never wavered. The thought of creating a blog has long been on my mind. Don't get me wrong, I still buy every pretty journal I come across in a store, but creating this website and blog is truly where my heart is. I made this website as a way for you to get to know me, but also as an outlet for my thoughts and to share my passion for health and natural medicine with people just like you.
When I am not seeing patients or blogging, you can find me spending time with my friends or family, getting my yoga on, or curled up with my dog and a good book.
